Is there any possible way to downgrade a 3.1.3 jailbroken iPod Touch to 2.2.1 (yes, I've researched it)? My iPod was originally jailbroken on 3.1.2, but I upgraded it a while back and re-jailbroke it. I'm going to assume this is impossible, but I thought I might as well ask.

What model is your iPod touch ? 3rd Gens cannot go to 2.2.1. if its a 2G [ NON MC ], you can downgrade, but you need to block Apple's sig checks.

Now hold on a min... He can downgrade to 2.2.1 on a non-mc model. I did it with 4.0. It will work since it will not need a signature from apple. Yes, you can downgrade to 2.2.1! Just put the iTouch in DFU mode and restore with that firmware.

I've successfully downgraded to 3.1.2, but every time I try to downgrade to 2.2.1 I get error 20. I installed iTunes 8.2 and shift+click in DFU mode. I also tried using iREB V3.1.2 while in DFU mode and my screen turns white, but I still get error 20. I also tried adding Cydia to my hosts file. This is a 1G touch. What am I doing wrong here?

EDIT: I just downgraded to 3.0.
