I'm on the latest version of iTunes right now.
And my iPod Touch is on 4.0
I would like to downgrade back to 3.1.3 (yes I have shsh blobs)
I need to downgrade my iTunes back to 9.0 so I can downgrade my iPod
Can someone give me the directions to do this correctly?
I heard you have to install all of the Apple software in a certain order and delete some files manually or something...

You have to un-install itunes and all other software published by Apple including automatic update etc. Then perhaps clean the registry and MAKE SURE TO RESTART BEFORE INSTALLING OLDER VERSION.

Thanks. I'll try and skip cleaning the registry lol.
I'll post back here if it works or not.

you cant just uninstall it because there is still some of the program left and if you install an older version then it will say
"iTunes cannot open because it was created by a newer version" or something like that
I would know because ive done it

Revo Uninstaller is great; I use it too (I think it was recommended in a past PC World Magazine article) and it ensures the removal of most, if not all, traces of programs you uninstall.

    Downgrading iTunes: Success
    Downgrading iPod: Success!

    Got error 13
    I did everything right.
I followed the guide and did every step correctly.
It got passed checking with apple and then it would say preparing iPod for restore for a few seconds then error 13 would pop up.
    Any help?

    Nevermind.
I thought I didnt have to put my iPod in DFU mode because I didnt think it existed in the 3rd generation devices. I was wrong lol.
    Downgraded!
    Thanks everyone!
