Well, got my replacement iPod, was set to 3.1.3, decided to restore for a fresh start.

Wrong thing to do, I know.

Getting Error 3014 (during recovery and DFU mode).
Getting Error 3914 (during normal mode).

Of course, no SHSH's since it's a fresh iPod.

Any possible way to downgrade iOS 4.0 to 3.1.3 without SHSH?
Doubtful, I know, but haven't been in the jailbreaking scene for a couple weeks.. The most important weeks

Anyways, some help/advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

BTW, sorry for another downgrading topic!

just get the SHSH now on 3.1.3

Then, use my guide in my signature and restore back to 3.1.3

Apple supposedly already stopped signing 3.1.3, that explains the errors.

    I'm currently on iOS 4.0.
As I had accidentally restored, thinking it would restore, not update.

I am having the same problem. They should really make a jailbreak for Ipod Touch MC Model 4.0 firmware.

Oh my, then you are stuck on 4.0

You should have backed up your SHSH when you got the ipod, then restored back to the same firmware version.

The errors were caused by Apple no longer signing the 3.1.3 firmware, so you cannot restore it if its not signed unless you have your SHSH on 3.1.3, which you don't have.

I'm so sorry, just wait for the jailbreak, its coming soon. hopefully.

Hmm, I think Error 3014 is your connection to Apple is dead.
Since my I can't go anywhere in iTunes (to let's say iTunes Store, or restore for that matter)..
I think I'm going to have to fix that.

But I went into Apple today with Genius Bar Appointment, walked out about 5 minutes later with a 3.1.3 iPod 3rd Gen.

    I'm happy.
Just gotta wait for my ZAGG to come before I take it out of its original little vinyl case thingymajig.
