    Hey 'yall.

I currently can't downgrade to 1.1.1 from my 1.1.3 Install.

I'm running a MacBook with Leopard 10.5.1 and iTunes 7.6.

Tried putting it into DFU mode, and it gets to about half way restoring 1.1.1 and then it'll die with error (6).

If I try restoring with the 'connect to itunes' picture on my touch, I'll get error (1).

But, It'll happily restore back to my 1.1.3 file.

I've also tried the downgrade on Tiger 10.4.10 and iTunes 7.5 with no success *still*

I've also tried downloading 1.1.1 about 3 times, with no success.

Anyone got any pointers, short of reformatting my mb?

Are you trying the easy method? You sure you had it plugged in the whole time, then did the DFU and got a blank iPod, then option-restored? If that doesn't work, then you'll have to try the confusing iPHUC thing...

He gets that "bus error", and me too. Probably because of my 7.6 iTunes version. Isn't there any other way (with macs)?

Yeah, I do get that damned bus error.

Did a clean install of Leopard + iTunes 7.4.2 as well today, alas to get the same result.

Even iPHUC doesnt work. Get a segmentation error if I actually *try* anything.

and the DFU trick doesnt work either.

ah well, thanks for the help guys, but I think I'll wait for the 1.1.3 jailbreak (hopefully this one'll be 'direct', eg, no downgrading first!

and if not, there's always the sdk to look forward to.
