I have a 2nd Gen iPod Touch and as I've herd I don't need to use SHSH blobs. But how do I downgrade from 4.0 to 3.1.2. I have iTunes 9.2 and when I do the Shift + Click in DFU Mode or Recovery Mode it just gives me error code 3194.

Have you ever been on 3.1.2 before? If not that MAY be the problem.

EDIT: When you put your device in DFU mode, does it show the connect to iTunes symbol, or is it just black?

I have been on 3.1.2 right before I upgraded to 4.0. I have never been on 3.1.3 but I want to be on 3.1.3 if possible and when I am in DFU Mode the screen on iPod Touch is Black. But when I am in Recovery Mode the screen on my iPod Touch is the USB with iTunes Logo.

Make sure you have host file edited and make sure your device is not MC it must be MB for it to work.

How do I edit the "host" file? and I'm 100% sure my iPod Touch is 2nd Generation MB.

I didn't even know what SHSH blobs were back then.
