is there any way to downgrade from 1.1.4 to 1.1.3 or 1.1.2?

Yes, just download the firmware you want, you can get it from here, then in iTunes right-click the restore button, navigate to the downloaded firmware, select it, then it will restore.

    That's it..

Yes, kick it into DFU mode (look at my sig) then shift+click restore and select the ispw firmware file you want to downgrade to.

you can easily downgrade to any firmware but if you want to jailbreak don't go to 1.1.2 directly because you need to start from 1.1.1

    why not?

Make sure your iPod is in dfu mode; the screen should be black.

yeah, but I just get errors. All I can do is to let iTunes update to the latest. It don't even work to 'choose' the firmware 1.1.4 (which I have downloaded) it only works to let itunes choose for me, so I can't downgrade.

Don't remember clearly, but I think it was error 1 or something. tried to downgrade to, 1.1.1 , 1.1.2 and 1.1.3, and even 1.1.4 by choice, nada.

It only works when itunes looks for updates and download, anything works, so 1.1.4 for tomorrow.

For example, I choose 1.1.1, sh*t's start too load.. blah blah. when it writes the firmware to the ipod, itunes stops to load/ like freezes the loading bar. And the Error warnings, and the reboot of the ipod into blackness..

    exuse my spelling, im drunk.

I used ipodtouchmasters 'hard jailbreak 1.1.4' when I jailbreaked my itouch some weeks ago. Maube related?!

    first restore.
then make sure your iPod is in DFU mode. There is a guide in Redshift's sig. THERE SHOULD BE NO IMAGE ON THE SCREEN. Then Shif (or option) click the restore button and choose the 1.1.1 fw.

Ok, I exactly did what you wrote me to do. Everything went fine, restored, the normal way.
Then after that, put my ipod Into DFU mode, hold shift and clicked the restore-button, choosed 1.1.1 and the procedures went on, my ipod reboots, my itunes notifies me with this Error:

    (swedish)
iPod-enheten "iPod" kunde inte återställas. Ett okänt fel uppstod (1).

translated into english it would be:

iPod-unit "iPod" could not restore. One unknown error arose (1).

    edit:
I forgot to mention that, when I put my ipod into DFU mode.
The apple logo appaers then the plug into itunes image, on my itouch screen...
