    hey there,

    I am currently on 6.1.2.

I was wondering if there was something i could do that would allow me to downgrade again if i updated to, lets say iOS7?

I remember there were blobs back a couple years but to my knowledge that method doesn't work anymore?

    Thanks!

I would just download the firmware, and shift-restore into that firmware from DFU mode.

I think that iOS6.1.2 is no longer being signed by Apple, so you are out of luck, and shsh-blobs generally only works for iDevices that has the A4-Chip or older (with the exception of the iPad2)

If you have an iPhone4S and you updated to a new iOS then there is no turning back, unless if you have updated to a beta iOS, in which you will be able to downgrade to the last iOS that is still being signed by Apple which currently is iOS6.1.3, so if jailbreaking is on your mind, then you should stay with iOS6.1.2 until we see a jailbreak for iOS7, which we will probably not see until the final release of iOS7
