try it, if it doesnt work, you can just restore back to 2.0

Restoring to a 2.0 beta firmware does not happen, it leaves you with a pinkish purple screen.

If you must, "Pwn" your iPod then restore to 2.0.
Pwning allows unsigned firmware to be installed on an iPhone or iPod.

After you a pwnd on 1.1.4, make a custom 1.1.4, and a custom 2.0 firmware. Then after you use iTunes to install 2.0 and look at it you can then go right back to 1.1.4 in iTunes.

I have done it many times. You pwn you ipod on 1.1.4. Then make a custom 1.1.4 firmware and a 2.0 custom firmware. Open iTunes and install the 2.0 firmware, get bored in 10 mins, and then back to iTunes and install the custom 1.1.4 firmware. You don't even have to restore.

Make sure you have a supported version on 2.0 firmware. I believe that last one that worked for non-sdk enterprise people was 5a240D. I know it works on Pwnage Tool for mac but I can't confirm that it works on Winpwn. You may want to check that out or get a version made on a mac to install.
