How to Downgrade a iTouch to Firmware 3.1.3 to 3.1.2
    Only works with 8GB models.

    1. Download iPod touch 2G 3.1.2 Firmware and save it where you can find it. Link not posted due to forum rules. Search it up on Google.

    2. Download the latest version of iTunes.

    3. Dowload Blackra1n: Click here. Or go to http://blackra1n.com/

    4. Make sure your iPod touch is at the SpringBoard (home screen). Connect it to the computer.

    5. Hold Shift+Restore on Windows or Command+Restore on Macintosh.

    6. It will allow you to choose files. Choose the firmware you downloaded. (.ipsw)

    7. Wait about 5 minutes. (Your iPod should be restoring)

    8. When it is done, open blackra1n.

    9. Click <Make it Ra1n>.

    10. Wait for your device to reboot.

    11. Your device may go back to the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Rerun blackra1n and click <Make it Ra1n>.

    12. Your device should now reboot if it has not already.

    13. Remember, blackra1n is a tethered jailbreak. Click here for more information.

    14. Congratulations! You have successfully downgraded and jailbroken your iTouch!

Important Note: The downloaded firmware should be .ipsw file, not a folder with a series of files within it. Safari automatically unzips the .ipsw file.

If you could test the untested ones, I would very much appreciate it and will credit you on this post.

This is basically the same thing...? I have not used words like "bootrom" or "edit the iboot" that make mine hard...?
