    I have a 16gb iPod Touch 2g MB model (of course if it's 16gb lol) on ios4.

I have tried various downgrades, yet none of them seem to be working :/.

I kept on trying to downgrade to 3.1.2 and a custom 3.1.3 firmware - i mainly got errors of 16xx from it getting stuck on 'preparing ipod for restore'.

I have 4.0 shsh's stored on cydia, i edited the hosts file and tried to just do a restore to the firmware that I am on already to see if it helps - now even that won't work!

I have tried all of these on 2 PCs and a Mac, on itunes 9.2 and 9.1.1

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks guys

If you don't have 3.1.X blobs, you can't restore. Pretty sure at least.

It's an MB model, I'm pretty sure I don't need shsh blobs for downgrading below 4.0?

I think Apple started soft signing for MB models.

    That's for 4.0.

Kicks me out of recovery straight away with that method, it goes in, then gets kicked out :/

Actually I can get it into recovery now, it turns out part of RecBoot was somehow running still without a visible window - kicking it out of recovery every time.

    Am trying now

Bump? No method I try seems to work :/, even downgrading to 2.2.1 doesn't allow me to upgrade or restore up to 3.1.2
