So I upgraded to iOs 4.0, but I found that I didnt' like it (too laggy, killed my battery way to fast). So I decided I wanted to downgrade it.

Now I followed these following instructions:
    1. Set iPod Touch to DFU mode
    2. Changed the host file (added the line "74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com")
    3. Held 'shift' and clicked Upgrade/Restore
    4. Navigated to the iOs 3.1.3 firmware

After this I get the "3914" error from iTunes. Is there any work or solution around for this error?

    Other information:
    iPod Touch model: 2g
    Operating System: Windows 7
    Current iPod firmware: 4.0
Jailbroken?: Used to be. I can jailbreak it fairly quickly

    Delete that line and retry.
