Ok so my buddy wants to downgrade to 1.1.5 for things like Installer 3.1 and iSlk (i know i tried to explain theirs cydia and mewseek) But regardless, i know i need iTunes 7.5 but how do i downgrade, Recovery mode or DFU? And can i just go directly from 2.2.1 to 1.1.5 or do i have to backwards grade it from 2.2.1 to 2.2 to 2.1 etc.

Explain to your friend that there most likely won't be anything for him to install via Installer since nearly all sources are deprecated (Gone, dead, abandoned) for that OS version.

To answer your question no you don't need to go from 2.2.1 to 2.2 to 2.1.1, etc. You CAN go to 2.2.1 to 1.1.5.

Thank You but one more question. Recovery Mode or DFU Mode?

This answer doesn't relate to my Question.
