after i updated my ipod it is lagging in all games and sometimes on the springboard. can i fix this?

i tried downgrading (what i want the most) to 3.1.2 but it gives me a 3194 error. i guess it is because of the signing thing on 4.0. can i bypass it?

    any help appreciated!

If this is on your on our 2nd generation ipod touch, then disable spotlight search, because I've been told it helps. This is a reason I won't upgrade, as I still have a 2nd generation device. I do remember reading on this forum that you need your shsh blobs to downgrade, and that apple no longer signs earlier firmware. I'm not to sure on that though.

thx, but it didn't really help... i can't find out to disable spotlight (used google). the signing thing must be easy to hack because it is not hardware (read-only).

I'm on 4.0 and I want to downgrade back to my 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. But everybody is saying it can't be done is this true or not?

Apple has stopped signing these firmwares so If you try to downgrade they'll deny the request save an in order to downgrade you have to edit your host file but you have to be on a certain bootrom like MB Model.
