Hello, I'm having trouble restoring from 3.1.3 Fireware to 3.1.2,

I went to this site to downgrade 3.1.3 to 3.1.2(http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/) and selected iPod touch 2G (3.1.2./7D11) for my Ipod Touch 2G. I download the file from Megaload. After downloading I clicked Shift + Restore and selected the (iPod2,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw) file from ITunes but I got the message "The iPod could not be restored because the fireware file is not compatible" Could anyone help me?

If it still have problem I'm able to jailbreak using 3.1.3 firmware for BlackRa1n without restoring the Itouch?

    Thanks

nope apple stop signing 3.1.2, you have to have shsh in cydia with jay to restore back to 3.1.2. anyways just jailbreak it with sn0wbreeze. i got a custom firmware 3.1.3 with 1g of storage for cydia. let me know if you want it

duh because apple stop signing to firmware 3.1.2. you either use redsn0w or sn0wnbreeze to jailbreak your ipod touch 2g.

what ipod model you have ?

2G 32GB model? 2G ipods dont use signature checking, you can always downgrade/jailbreak them

    So you're saying on 3.1.3 I can't jailbreak with BlackRa1n but I can jailbreak with redsn0w or sn0wnbreeze?

Yes, I have 2G 32GB but I can't downgrade from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 because the iTunes says "The iPod could not be restored because the fireware file is not compatible"

I have 2nd Generation with 32 GB and fireware 3.1.3. I noticed I can't jailbreak on BlackRa1n using 3.1.3 but when I download from this site(http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/) and restore it the iTunes says "The iPod could not be restored because the fireware file is not compatible"

Yes, I looked up on YouTube but I have trouble restoring back to 3.1.2 so I post here instead

I'm 100% sure that its 2G because it has speaker and volume bottom on the side. I dont have ITouch with me now
