    Helpz plz.
I tried upgrading to 3.0 beta (7A238j) and it upgraded just fine, but when it rebooted, it showed the iTunes restore logo, but it was not in restore mode. I had a status bar.
So I figured, considering the fact that I was on an iPT2G, I could downgrade back down to 2.2.1 (5H11a) with ease. So I download a stock copy from an unnamed source, and DFU + ALT restored to the stock firmware. But I got a 2 different error numbers:
    1403
    and
    1

But it would not restore successfully. It gets to the end of extracting and gives me error 1, or doesnt even get to extract and woulg give me error 1403.

Any help on how to downgrade back?
I am on a Mac OSX Leopard MacBook with iTunes 8.0.2

    EDIT:
I am now getting error 21

    Anyone?

I think I know what you need to do. connect your ipod and kick it into DFU mode and then do a restore through itunes.

Error 1 usually is from an ipsw problem, you are Zipping on a high level, ex: zipping an entire folder.

You have to do the redsn0w patch before you restore to 2.2.1. Oh and when you have the iTunes logo and status bar, that's when you just connect to iTunes and set it up.

DFU mode... ALT + Restore should fix it. If not, then just redownload the Firmware, but this time from iTunes, and then jailbreak with redsn0w.

Try on a different computer. Try with iTunes 8.1.1. Restart the computer. Reinstall iTunes.

Lol, you should've just set up your iPod in iTunes when you had the status bar...

A DFU Restore should work fine. Try downgrading your computer, or using the redsn0w patch.
