    Just wondering, any of you here has ideas for Downbeat / Trip Hop artists? (kind of electronic ambience music)

    Two I know if you are not sure whats that genre but you may know some groups, Bonobo, Wax Tailor and Nightmares on Wax

    I can't believe Crypt hasn't got all over this, he listens to a lot of trip hop.

    My two favorite trip hop artists are Bitter:Sweet and Saltillo.

    ^the kind of trip hop i listen to isn't the kind he wants

    he's looking for more downtempo ninja tune type stuff that i can't stand

    well to me there are two types of trip hop,

    a)the more poppy sort with female vocalists and smooth beats, and then
    b)the kind you're wanting, ninja tune style downtempo/instrumental hip hop stuff

    see everything you mentioned (and most everything on the ninja tune label) for examples of B. personally i find this stuff (especially bonobo) really repetitive and boring, meh

    my kind of trip hop is stuff like old archive, halou, and saltillo (this song is a perfect, top of the line example of this genre imo). massive attack and portishead etc are in here too but i don't really care for them. if you want anything like this i can give you tons of recs; lemme know
