So here's the catch with the double click home button setting

    I'm playing music
I go into a game app that that may have sound in the introduction and shuts music I'm playing off
i go into the game's setting to turn off all the sounds of the games

I double click the home button in order to resume the iPod music but guess what? It goes into the setting I chose for the double click home
(in my case, I chose it to go to Spotlight search when music's not playing)
which means I have to exit the app to resume the music

here's the catch 22; the introduction sound of the game (which I cannot turn off) cuts theusic off AGAIN, thn I have to o back to iPod, and a cycle begins

    any solutions?

No but I was able to summon iPod control on 2.2.1 when the music was off
on 3.0, I can't so even after turning off the game
music, I'm not able to resume my music

Its a side affect of combining music and video, as this feature is not available on the iPhone, and doing it makes the music app think it's on an iPhone

Can't you just set it so that double clicking home brings up the volume control instead of spotlight?

that is exactly what you have to do, just keep the ipod player as your double tap shortcut if your so annoyed by it.

turn the ipod controls switch to off
  9. Had the same problem. EASY SOLUTION:

When you running e.g. Notes and you wanna get iPod controls on your screen without leaving Notes just do the following:

    - press sleep button
    - double tap

--> here you go: iPod controls on your lockscreen

    - after you have used to skip a song or whatever you wanted to do just unlock your device

    --> you're back in Notes

Not as convenient as it used to be on 2.2.1 but it let's me keep my MMP Flip
