I'm talking about going to jailbreakme.com on 1.1.1 then downloading 'oktoprep' from installer to upgrade to 1.1.2. and then executing a java program that takes FOREVER to jailbreak it again. Then goint to installer and soft upgrade to 1.1.3, only to realize summerboard doesnt work, then you mess up trying to fix it and have todowngrade back to 1.1.1 again and start over. that was so fun, now its just quickpwn and ur done.

Lol, I used redsn0w to jailbreak, and then 2 weeks later all the GUIs come out! But it was a good learning experience, and I couldn't wait another 2 weeks.

Yeah, I liked it a lot. 1.1.3 never worked for me, so I stuck with 1.1.2 for a while. It was nice because even though there were apps that didn't work and required restores, SSH fixes, and permission changes, developers made many applications that unjailbroken owners were jealous of. Chuzzle, iCoptor, Tap Tap Revolution, Emulators, themes, and so many other cool things that we could have but other iPod touch owners couldn't. It was an entertaining process to jailbreak and to fix all of the problems. Now everything just works, and there is less of a reason to jailbreak.

Yeah, I kinda liked it. It was a lot better than all the command prompt sh*t for redsn0w.

    Me too!

I don't miss the old way. It was a very creditable experience for the dev teams but now we have progressed into things such as 1..2..3..A..B..C.. GUI programs that take 2minutes and now onto firmware 3.0 which includes bluetooth! Can't wait, past was brilliant but you gotta move on and conquer!

    I remember jailbreakme.com...
Those were the days where I restored once a week, but the jailbreak took less than a minute
