    I have a 2nd generation 16gb ipod touch,
Screen is flawless and only slight scratches on back,
I have all the cables, manuals, and even brand new unopened ipod buds, it's working perfectly

They try to give me $62 for it, rip off!

That isn't such a rib off. Try trading it into Apple and see what they give you. Just because you are too cheap to buy one out right or don't want to wait to sell it on craigslist or eBay doesn't mean that Best Buy is cheap. If you are wanting the 8Gb Apple would give you only $23, $30 for the 32Gb and $40 for the $64. You can't really expect a big box retail store, like Best Buy, that has no use for your old, outdated iPod to give you more than that. Try going to Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Radio Shack or any others and see what they give you. They will laugh you out of the store. Stop being cheap and just go drop the money on what you want.

    Well said.

The value of technology does go down as time goes buy. The second generation is two years old, So the value has gone way down of that of a year ago Plus it's been used, has finger prints and possibility scratches on the back.

I never traded in with Best Buy, but they are a good store. So don't get mad at them for giving you the truth. You are not going to get anymore on an old touch.

Looks like you could have gotten ~$140 by selling it on ebay (based on completed auctions). After fees this would have been around $125.

I totally disagree with you. They would be selling it for 3x the price. No I don't agree with their prices.

Your kidding right? Three times the amount? you could buy a couple of touches for that.

Its been used. Its two years old. Man up and pay the difference. Get a job even and start saving.

it wouldn't be as is, they would at least clean it and most likely refurbish it, for a major corporation thats pretty good, Restore it to default and JB it and put it on EBay or Craigslist, also make sure you back up the SHSH for the next guy and put that on there with the info.
