    If you don't like the complicated Cydia Packager and want to stick with installer then you're out of luck! jk

    . What you need to do is manually remove it through cuteftp, simple right? yup. But if you're like me and wanna remove it from the installer uninstall list then your gonna have to do this:
    through cuteftp or winscp go to /var/mobile/Library/Installer/LocalPackages.plist (right click it and press edit)
    mine looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">

    it is the installer and bsd subsystem, to remove cydia from the list just erase the cydia section and make sure everything is aligned correctly. Thats ALL! Enjoy installer as it is!
    Do you like cydia or installer (i only like cydia for its design

    I like Installer, auto-refresh and add repo ability, but Cydia's search function is nice....

    Sorry for bumping the thread, but what did you use to edit .plist files, when I open it with Notepad it's just bunch of something not understandable.
