    it's called an iPod touch n00b. And I wasn't calling you that in reference to your display name.

    If you must play, n00b, get some decents FPS's in N.O.V.A and Modern Combat: Sandstorm. Both of these have Bluetooth multiplayer so you and yopur n00b friends can play together (sus). Be aware these are multi-hundred MB downloads and will take a while to download unless you have a decent connection. Oh yeah, you'll have to pay for those, n00b.

    Most 'free' txting apps don't work or you have to pay annual fees to use them (expensive). eBuddy works fine for your IM if you aren't retarded and know how to use Wi-Fi.

    Ok n00b, what next?

    Welcome to the forums.

    The best apps are those that best suit your interests. Browse and search the app store and I'm sure you'll be surprised to find exactly the apps you are looking for. If you are more specific about the kind of games you like, or things you like to do, we can make more productive suggestions. You can also search these forums and will find this thread has been addressed before.

    TextFree and TextPlus are two of the more popular texting programs for the iPod Touch.

    Have fun!

    Some good game that I can suggest are;

    Aurora Feint: Arena Demons (puzzle mmorpg), Alive 4 Ever (zombie survival), The Quest (oblivion style rpg), Sentinel (sci-fi tower defence), and Pocket Legends (free, mmorpg). And like dlstc said about the texting apps, I really like textplus.

    Mostly rpg's, but that's what I like. ^_^
