    Hey,

My friend restored/JB'd an iPT2G around 7 times, each time doing a new iPod with iTunes, and checking both Cydia and Icy in redsn0w. Cydia gave errors doing the critical updates. I advised my friend to check only Cydia, and it worked perfectly.

I don't see a sticky about this, only some posts in threads by people helping users troubleshoot. It would be nice to see this fixed, or at least information stickied regarding this. It would have saved a minimum of 5 people a lot of trouble, and probably tons more.

If it HAS been stickied or something, please let me know so I can delete this post.

    Thanks,
    iforget

It has not been stickied I think, but it's widely known now

I have seen a few posts about it today; hopefully it will become a bit more widely known, at least for people who are just discovering jailbreaking.

I was having problems as explained with cydia and icy installed.
So I took Icy off and now cydia is working fine now.

You cant delete new threads, you request a Mod to do it (Via PM). Just a heads-up.
