I'm planning to buy an iPhone. But before i do that i need to find out if the iphone can view every website just like the one on the computer. Does Safari support all websites including JAVA and flash players. Can i view Youtube and pics and other videos on the Iphone using the interent website? One last thing how long does it take for a page to load?

It depends on your internet for the speed entirely. Or you could use the very slow, but useful 3G connection . . .

The iPhone does not, and will never support Flash or Java. This is due to Flash being far too resource-intensive for any sort of practical usage.

You can view YouTube videos on the iPhone though, as it has native support, with a purpose-built player.

Depending on your connection, and the size of the page it can take anywhere between 5-30 seconds to load.

Well when he said the iPhone will "never" support flash b/c its too resource intensive I assumed that he meant flash in general wouldn't work on smartphones.

Why would you assume that? And have you seen flash on Android? It's a joke.

Excactly. Flash isn't made for smartphones like Android or iPhone, or any smartphones to be honest. Most flash games would be really laggy, but I noticed that HTML5 will work really fast on the iPad.

Yes I have seen it, it runs flash videos and games beautifully. Plus it's only beta, and it's already looking good.
