Versions 2.2 and 2.2.1 have a bug where saved photos are always displayed at a low resolution. This is for any images in the DCMI section for the iPod touch 2g (at least, it's the only device I have). I was wondering if the new firmware fixes this. I don't want to install the firmware myself to check.

It only happens sometimes on 2.2.1. It's truly irritating though. And I am not sure if it is fixed on 3.0, but it probably is fixed.

I always get this issues when I save an image from safari or mail. I think it may be iPod Touch 2g specific.

This is usually just when you save a photo that's larger than iPods 320x480 size. Well for me at least. I think this is just a problem for the 2nd gen. I don't remember having any problems like that for my first gen.

I had this problem, but I don't have anymore bigger sized pics on it anymore, its all high quality PNG's at 320x480.

Hey i know what youre talking about, no 3.0 doesnt fix this. BUT you may be interested to know, that your iphone/ipod touch actually save the photo in its full quality, you just have to view the pic on your computer to see that. i think.. (do not know 4 sure) that the device only shows you a low res image to keep running smothly.. that make sense? i think big pics take up more memory, so device only shows low res.
