Does open SSH actually work?

    mine doesnt seem to work. do the username 192.1.XX.XX root, alpine etc....
    and it doesnt work

    just a few questions. has anyone managed to get it work, and is it , root and alpine?

    Yes, it works.
    The login has always stayed the same.
    Did you even install it from within Cydia?

    I got it to work. what I did was use install openssh on the ipod, then I used flow to ftp in. under protocol I used sftp, server name is your ipods ip address, user name is root and password alpine.

    meh,ill reset my router, its always the solution when i cant SSH

    You may have assumed that an sshd was part of the pwned firmware, which it is not.

    no..i didnt...
    it wasnt in the packages, and as soon as i pwned it i downloaded it..

    did you run the right terminal command ssh root@<your ip> or if you are using another program like cuteFTP or cyberduck your username wont be your ip, your ip will be the server, then root the user, then alpine tha pass

    i had to reinstall me OpenSSH to get it to work

    its ok now. it works i reinstalled it

    Does anyone know the ftp root where your App Store Apps are?
