Well, before I jailbroke my 2g touch to enable multitask, my battery life didn't seem to run out while it was on "sleep", or locked.

Obviously I don't turn the iPod off all together, just click the top left button whenever I stop using it.

But yeah, before the battery wouldn't run out when I did this, but now, since I jailbroke, it does. It was fully charged before going to bed, I woke up and it said the battery was at 20%.

I've also had it working at one point, then can't turn it back on because the battery drained out completely.

So is this something related to multitask?
Like, if I have a program or two on the multitask bar, even though I'm on the homescreen, and have locked the iPod, would it still drain the battery as if the iPod was on and I am using it?
    Or is this another problem?

Doesn't hurt my battery life having them open. But it should. Depends on the time.

i thought it was more of a 'recently opened' bar, since it doesnt keep the a running, so i doubt multitasking would drain battery.
this happens to my ipod too, is it the wifi thats now always active?

It kills my iphone 3g and I dont even have multitasking. Its 100% at night and when I wake up its dead. I even changed the battery a few months ago
