Does MMS work on unlock iPhones?

    I haven't really seen any topics on this. Does the MMS feature work only with an AT&T service plan or can it also be used on an unlocked device (such as one on T-mobile)?

    yes i think it will work, if the provider allows mms

    yes, it will work with Tmobile. you just have to "update" the settings for tmobiles network.


    on a side note, nice to see another minnesotan on here. i live in Plymouth.

    Oh okay. Where can I update these settings once the Ultrasn0w unlock is released?

    On another side note, it's also nice to see another minnesotan....don't see too many on forums these days

    once Ultra comes out, we will be able to go in and "set it up"...

    here is a link to a how to i found with a quick google search. fyi - i do not know if this will work or not, so please read carefully....

    "You could also follow these instructions to enable .ipcc updates on iTunes 8.2 final.

    Windows 2000/XP/Vista (32-bit):

    1. Go to Start -> Run (
    2. type in "command" and hit enter
    3. Type/copy+paste this into the command console that comes up: "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
    4. Hit enter

    Windows XP/Vista (64-bit):

    1. Go to Start -> Run (
    2. type in "command" and hit enter
    3. Type/copy+paste this into the command console that comes up: "C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
    4. Hit enter

    After you do this, Shift-click the "Update" button and choose "iPhone Carrier Configuration files (*.ipcc)" for Files of type:"

    yea, my work has the "AC" set at like 80*.

    so much for being cool at work, i had to buy a fan last night at target just to keep from sweating.

    it doesnt help that i sit in front of 2 pc's and 2 19" widescreen monitors all day.



    on a side note and back on topic, i would take the info that i posted from the other site and review it very carefully.
