Ok, well I'm about to jailbreak my friends ipod touch, and I was wondering if I can use the same IPSW that I used to JB my own? Also, I can't whipe his in order to jailbreak it so idk if that really matters. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

depends if he has a first gen or second gen ipod touch

if its the same gen then it doesn't matter the firmware

use redsn0w 0.8 or 0.7.2 to jailbreak 3.0...you won't need to restore it.

It's the same gen, I mean it's the same IPSW that I used to JB mine, from my restore, from my download. He has 3.0 already, but he can't JB his at home so you know =\

    then you should be fine.

    use redsn0w 0.8 or redsn0w 0.7.2

    either are stable.
