I'm unjailbroken on my 2nd gen and the battery life has halved since 3.1.

That's because of persistent wifi... (it stays on when the device is in standby)
I hope they fix it by putting an option to turn it on and off. Maybe in iOS 6... -__-

its also caused by having multitasking. if you have apps running in the background it drains the battery also

I noticed my battery life drained a lot quicker when I had turned multitasking on, I hope they do fix this issue..
