Hi, got a new Touch and and generally happy. One problem is that I set auto-lock to 1 minute assuming that's the mechanism to turn screen off automatically and hence save battery power. Problem is now when I want to control the iPod (say pause my music when someone walks in my office) I have to hit the home button, slide to unlock and then press pause.

Is there a way to have the screen dim but simply touch the screen to get right back to the interface? Thanks in advance!

You can just double click the home button to bring up the music controls. Then the screen automatically turns off after like 10 seconds.
