How long ago did you purchase your iPod touch?

They can fix it, but since the warranty is most likely over, you'll have to pay (around $130-ish). It's not worth it, it'll be better if you just buy a new one.

Depends which you want to buy. The 2G and 3G 8gb iPod Touches are basically the same, except that 3G jailbreaks are tethered. So if you are planning to get an 8gb, go for a 2G. The 3G 32/64gb iPod Touches have a faster processor, can support better graphics, but again, the jailbreak is tethered.

Alright. Probably going to buy the 2G 8gb because of the jailbreak. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, or there is always a Zune HD...

Just thought I'd mention it. I'd advise you to go for the 32GB 3G (like mine), for the speed, if you don't like Zune's. Which some people don't, completely understandable.

Depends on what you intend to use the future iPod for, GodzNoEviL... I agree that the Zune HD makes for a great entertainment gadget (still unavailable in Malaysia unfortunately) but the iPoT is an all-rounder bcoz it's also top-notch for work, in addition to the usual music and Internet access etc...

I wouldn't say work, but a better term for what it is best at is Pocket Computer. Also, the music/video experience has consistently been rated higher than the iPod touch's (partially because of Zune Pass...)
    At least, for now...
