Ive had the crashing apps and music vanishing bug 16 times now (yes i counted) - im not jailbroken, and its really pissing me off i have to restore everytime and re sync everything. I lose game saves and all my important stuff.

When do you think a fix will be made? is there one already?

    many thanks.

I own 2 ipods, 1 jailbroken works beautfully, other one is non jailbroken and legit and is causing lots of hassle.

I hold the record for most restores since 2.0 came out

Oops sorry. Forgot to post my fix.

Downgrade to iTunes 7.7 (Not 7.7.1)

Although syncing will be slower, this fixes the bug that came out in 7.7.1, which caused crashing apps and music loss.

i have had to only 2 times which pissed me off, it was both time because of the wont turn on problem and stuck on boot screen, i think abcmsaj maybe its because you have so many apps, its more likely that more problems will happen (not saying that, that is exceptable, you should be able to 200 apps on your ipod- i know its impossible- and it should be fine)

They did say somewhere that an iPod with 6 pages of apps is more likely to crash than one with 3 pages.
I'm on an older iTunes now and I avoid syncing as much. I think the problem was that my iPod wouldn't eject even after I told iTunes to, so stuff was still syncing to it and I unplugged it and it didn't like it..

i reckon the reason why mine crashed was because i had about 50 apps on it and it just couldnt cope with it and the ram overloaded or something and corrupted it (i dunno)
