I personally don't think hard cases protect very well from drops, I suggest Silicone cases like what www.switcheasy.com sells

Like Vekk has said, hard cases don't protect very well against drops (IMO). A Silicone case would be a better protection for drops, but it comes with its downsides such as attracting dust very easy.

TPU cases are a "softer" durable plastic. Most people prefer these mainly because it absorbs shocks and it's dust resistant. But in my opinion I prefer silicone cases like the Griffin FormFit or any of the Switcheasy cases. I highly recommend a switcheasy case or the case I just recently purchased the Griffin FormFit.
