iOS 4.1 Does anyone know...

    if u can enable multitasking on 3.1.2 just wondering. this might be the wrong place to ask tho... (sry if there is already another thread on this!

    Not apple's multitasking. You can do backgrounder+proswitcher as an alternative

    because its not a 3.x feature.

    Because the actual software isn't there. When Apple disabled it they still put the required software in there, but they set it's value you false. On 3.1.2 the software is not there, therefore it cannot be set to true, and just simply adding it won't work.

    That .plist is only in 4.0 firmwares and above. If Apple just implemented it in iOS4, that means it isn't in 3.0, 2.0, or 1.0.

    then y if apple doesnt want ipod touch 2g and iphone 3g to have multitasking, y didnt they just not put multitasking into the software... (im glad they did tho)

    Because it's technically a just a line from the new models they forgot to remove.
