Like in watts? I've been looking at power draws on notebooks today, and it got me curious at what a Touch actually takes.

A modern notebook with a Core 2 Duo takes around 65w

    G3 iBooks take ~15w

For comparison sake, I'd like to see what a Touch takes.

since the iPhone and iPod touch use a type of ARM11 processor

    i'd say around 0.8 watts - 2 watts

2 watts is probably the power draw at its max, but the processor is tuned down in the apple products.

My Touch draws 300ma starting up and around 180ma when running. This is from the battery so around 0.7 watt.

the processor may only need 2ma, but all the other stuff needs to be included like screen, wifi, etc...
