Does anyone know if this charger works with the iPod Touch?

Why don't you go to Best Buy or Future Shop and look for the usb plug that looks exactly like the usb cord you have, accept it has on the other end a normal plug like what you use to plug into a wall outlet and it costs between $10-20 Canadian probably cheaper in the U.S.

It's risky the fact that it uses the dock connector directly, and not a lead. If this charges via firewire, you've no chance if you have a 2G. EDIT: As you have a 1G, you shouldn't have a problem, but is it big enough?

You'd be better going for a mains plug to USB socket charger, and then using the USB cable that came with your iPod.

Looks like it would work, I use my old plug in adapter for the original shuffle on my 2nd gen itouch and it works fine.
