this is the third time ive posted this forum, i really need help, yet ive failed to get any... not only that but i havent gotten any EVER on this site... everyone always seems to give the same posts w.o. reading the other posts (and it pisses me off). If their is any1 out their who can help, plz do so, and not just question me about things that i clearly put in my first post...

ok, my problem is that in quickpwn (latest version for 2.2.1 firmware, which my ipod is on) i need to get the correct firmware file (ipsw)... so for my 1st gen ipod, i get the correct ipsw(ive downloaded it straight from quickpwn site multiple times)... but every single time it says that it doesnt support that firmware type...

again, i have the right files, i have the right quickpwn, and i have the right ipod type... wtf?

yes. grow up. try searching in google for other people that have had the same problem, and quit posting over and over.

yeah, why dont you try to do a little investigation before you just go ranting, trying a different jailbreaker or firmware source seems like the first step to take when it doesnt work

Such a simple question, and you guys are either too f***ing stupid or just too busy being assholes to help. That's a big issue with this forum. There are just so many worthless users who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground, let alone how to fix basic issues.

Robby, to fix your issue, you need to use a Jailbreak method meant for a 2G iPod Touch. As stated below this post, QuickPwn is for 1G's.

You will also need the proper firmware for a 2G Touch. I STRONGLY advise you to download it from iTunes.
