Documents to Go, an application that will offer the creation and editing of Microsoft Office files, will be released to the app store in early to mid May of this year. (According to an email sent out by the company to those who signed up to receive mail from them.)

A price is not yet set.

    Can't wait!!!

I used to use this on my Palm, and it was great! But, the Touch really needs an external keyboard.

Same here MikeHz, it's a superb application for the Palm and it's about time the excellent Docs To Go is released for the iPod touch...

And I agree with you about the keyboard thingy!

Well, as long as we have copy and paste, Documents to Go will be invaluable to me. An external keyboard would be very nice. BUT the current keyboard is fine for a couple of lines of text-- perfect if I have an assignment that I need to quickly edit and email to myself to print off.

Why would it be? If it did, that would be pathetic on Apple's part.

Who knows. Sounds likely. If i had to take a stab I would say apple may not like that the app will supposedly let you edit files the mail app downloaded and use them in their app?

All i know is dataviz said they submitted their app to apple on the 19th and i havent seen it in the app store yet. I dont know how long this process takes, but... more time = bad.

Hmmm 19th to the 27th is about how long my app reviews take. I guess for a more complex app it would take longer.
