I've just got one of the new 32Gb 2G Touches and am quite impressed to find that it works with the dock from my old 40Gb 3G iPod! All I have to do is connect the USB cable to the dock instead of the Firewire cable and it works brilliantly. The Touch even fits without any dremelling or adaptors.

Just a bit of info in case anyone was interested.

Don't they all use the same connector anyway?

No idea. The original 3G iPod was only released with a Firewire cable, so I was surprised that the accompanying dock would both charge and sync with a USB2 cable attached.
