Ok, I am making my own theme, and put it, though uncomplete, on my ipod. But, i do not yet have a dock for it. so I was using the "default". But, it was some wierd metal thing. I went into customize, changed it to something else... but it didnt change on the springboard. I even SSHd into my ipod and deleted the dock that is always showing, and it STILL shows. What can I do?

Turn off "Theme Dock" in SummerBoard.

PS- I wouldn't have deleted the default dock... If you need me to upload it, ask.

But it wasn't the default. I had uploaded a set of docks, dockswap, or something like that, and it had a "Back up" folder, so i have a bunch of docks in the back up section in customize. and its when i have theme docks turned off that i see it, but i cant change it back to default or to something else when the theme dock is turned off.

By default you mean the metal, previously only-for-the-iphone-dock, right?

I'm not sure I'm following you here. You want to get rid of this metal-ish dock and replace it with the default? Or do you want to get rid of the default. Or am I completely missing the point?

Try SSH-ing in the attached default dock to /System/Library/Coreservices/SpringBoard.app/. You will be replacing SBDockBG2. (backup the old one first.)
