Dock or audio plug for recording?

    For recording live audio (face-to-face interviews) with the 2nd gen iPod Touch, would I get better quality using a dock-connected mic or an audio jack mic? Are there any differences in what you can do with the recorded audio, or does it just depend on which recording app you use?
