    hello,

I want to buy a dock connector to 3.5mm adapter that i can use for my car. my car has a 3.5mm jack and i hear that you get better sound quality using this instead of a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female adapter. Does anyone know any good adapters?

i will use it with my ipod touch 3rd gen thats equipped with a switcheasy ******* so the problems i have with deciding which adapter to get is,

    1. having the dock connector fit with the case on
    2. compatibility to play audio because some users report that they don't work with newer generations of the ipods.

if you don't know what adapter i'm talking, here is a link to an ebay listing of them.

most of those listed i'm pretty sure won't fit with the case on.

Just get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm male to male cable. The dock connector gives a marginal output in sound quality.

Actually it's betteer coming out of the headphone jack as it is gold-plated (better quality in sound) than the steel dock connector and the headphone jack is dedicated.
