    I thought that the dev team was working to jailbreak the 3g, and then were moving on to the iPod Touch 2G. I might be mistaken seeing as how i'm new here, but I was just wondering.

    The 3G cannot be unlocked using software as of yet, but it can be jailbroken thou (very easily)

    unlock is so you can use the iphone for tmobile or any gsm, jailbreak is for cydia and installer, it has been jailbroken not unlocked

    but there is a chip you can use to unlock it and everytime you update it or downgrade you wont have to do that boot nueter thing

    The 3G is able to be jailbroken if u just want to stay on the att carrier otherwise u need to unlock it *not possible yet i think* and 2G ipod cannot be jailbroken. As far as buying one off of ebay, I would not because to jailbreak the 3G takes like 10min tops so its not hard just restore it to fresh 2.1 frimware and then use quickpwn to jailbreak it.

    I was just wondering, I actually have a 32gb touch 2G, and I pray to god that it's jailbroken in the near future, I can wait.... but come march I might be selling it in favor or something that can be jailbroken.

    Not software but with a sim adapter like TurboSIM.
