I stopped using screen protectors, if you do get something good like a wet applicant one

I have a screen protector and a layer of protective glass (glass is built into my case). Never can be too cautious right?

I suppose. That kind of protection is really only necessary if you plan to sell the device so its still in mint condition.

Like any other device with a glass screen, it can get scratched. However, I have found that Apple's glass is always of fantastic quality - generally, better than most. So I don't use a screen protector, and I probably never will.

just have a case with edges so if it falls flat the screen wont make contact with the ground and you'll be good

As most members have said, the screen necessarily doesn't need a a screen protector. If users feel safe, by all means go for it, but I found the experience without one better and enjoyable.

I always use one on all of my gadgets, ipt2g iPad, android phone... At least it gives me ease of mind, I don't have to worry about accidentally scratching the screen glass. But the iPod touch really does need a back cover, those shinny backplate simply scratched on me within hours of my purchase.

No because I'm not an idiot and puts my phones screen near something that could harm it like keys or coins.

Sometime you simply don't have any choice but to put it in your pocket along with coins and keys. Things like this do happen. (apply only on iphones and iPod touches).

In my pocket, there's a dumb phone between my headphones and my iPod, so I'm good ;)
