I'm not sure which one is better to do. Of course if you have a library over the capacity of the iPod you will manually do it. But yeah.. What do you do?

I hate syncing... It seems silly to be locked in to one puter, and I also am not a fan of having anything do things automagically - I want to have more control. ALso-- I had to doa system restore on my puter (XP) and when I hooked up the ipod to the same machine it didnt see it as being the same puter,a nd forced me to restore my software and delete all of my songs and start from scratch. Thats why I back-up all of my ripped music on DVD's

But that's just music. Videos and photos I do manually.

I manually manage my library into Playlists and automatically Sync those to my iPod Touch. For Videos, I check specific Shows and Movies. And then sync.

I automatically sync my ipod. I dont have an insane amount of stuff (enough to fit on 16GB) and i listen to a lot of my music and like to carry around my old music too just in case
