I believe that a future update by Apple could undo a modification or worse. I'm happy with mine the way it is.

To me it's a great tool to listen to music, podcast's and books and to watch videos.

Not at first, maybe after a few apple updates, or I am just completely board with what it does out of the box..

It depends on what you expect from the device. There is wifi and you cannot use mail app(I know you can use safari for that but mail app is lot easier to use). Also you have a calendar and you cannot add new events. That for me was just too restricting. I have all these features and more and I love my iTouch even more

Oh you dont know what you are missing, a jailbreak means freedom to use your touch as a very powerfull PDA

Just jailbreaked it. Sort of, as it doesn't seem to entirely work for me ( no doubt i'm doing something stupid, even when i follow each step carefully

), but i didn't like how few the Touch could do 'on it's own', so i'm glad they came with a solution.

Eh, I just want a touch for the large screen, itunes, and on occasion safari.. but I have a Moto Q that does about everything I could ever want including what the touch does, I just like cool new gadgets.
