    mines currently in a permanent sleep. the only time i turned it off was when i was conserving battery life (overnight)

    I've only ever done it when it's on a tethered jailbreak. Most effective form of data protection ever, especially to people who don't know how the boot an iDevice tethered.

    Not really. It depends. Booting an iDevice a lot of times uses more power than keeping one a sleep.

    Every once and a while I'll turn it off to save battery or something, but other than that my iPod just stays in sleep when unused or reboots when needed.

    I only reboot when I'm forced to after installing a tweak. Other than that, my phone is always on, and I still only have to charge once a day :)

    Sometimes, but I mostly do it after a serious installation, before software update, and before I play a graphicly intense game like Infinity Blade and GTA III. Also, there are the times where I let the battery drain down and it turns off before I get to charge it.
