I just looked at the Dev-Team Blog, and they said not to update just yet!
This is exactly what it says:

    Hold your horses!

There is an iPhone and iPod update available in iTunes - it is numbered 2.2.1 (5H11a).

Please DO NOT update. We will investigate and report back to you ASAP.

If this somehow applies to 2G, i'll downgrade later, when jailbreak is out.
