if you run into any problems during the jailbreak, just do a manual restore.

    -open itunes
    -plug in ipod
-hold both on/off and home button until apple logo appears.
    -let go of on/off button.
-keep holding home button until itunes asks to restore.
    -itunes will do the rest

this will bring your ipod back to its factory settings,
then you can try the jailbreak again

Sometimes I feel like you and I are the only ones who know how to do this.

    renzo,

Sure they can, but they won't do that. If you haven't noticed it changes a few things in the /General/About/Model. The only time they would even be able to log in though is if you were connected to wifi, taking it in for repairs, or possibly surfing the apple.com website.

It's highly illegal for them to access without acknowledgement though. So that won't happen. Make sure to change your default login (root:alpine) this is probably the most important step in securing your iTouch.

Well, Steve has the power of the finder at his disposal lol (http://youtube.com/watch?v=qHO8l-Bd1O4) watch that, you will feel better!! but, I really don't think that Apple is goanna do much to try and find whether or not you jailbroke it. If you restored it, Steve will let you by with his grace.

    Marcel,

It's not broken you just killed the OS. All you have to do is hold the reset and home key at the same time for 25 secs. This will bring up the "connect to iTunes" image. Then connect it and do a restore.

    Boom problem solved.

Plus if you get it though the apple online store and you call them and tell them

something is wrong wont they just send you out a return sticker and have you

send yours back and the same time they send you a new one anyway??
