Do i need this for my Mac??

    Just wondering do i need one of these so i can connect wirelessly from my my iPod for the internet and other things that require internet access??

    You can use a non-Apple router with an iPod. You don't need it, so compare it with other products to get the best deal.

    so i definitely need a router to get wireless internet access fr my iPod??

    and it doesnt matter whether it is a mac router or a windows router??

    Well there is a way to share a connection with your wireless laptop, search for more information on that.

    I don't want to call it a "Mac" router or a "Windows" router; There are some routers made by Apple and other made by brands/companies such as Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, etc. Your iPod can connect to any router, assuming it is configured correctly and you have the encryption key, if there is one.

    i didnt realise that i needed a wireless router for my iMac.. i thought it would've had an in-built wireless router..

    It has a built in wireless adapter, not router. You also can connect via Ethernet.

    an adapter.. could that still give a internet connection to my iPod??

    Yeah ive heard of ethernet.. my modem is plugged on mu iMac but how do i configure it so i can get the internet connection for my iPod??

    It's actually not hard to do. Get a Time Capsule, Router + Storage is very worth it.

    sorry for asking so many questions..

    ive got a router but all i need to do is get another ethernet cable so i can plug my internet modem into the router.. hmm
